Perspective

Comparison

“I can show you someone who’s had it worse and done it better”

I love this quote because it puts things into perspective.

Yes, people say, “comparison is the thief of joy,” but sometimes it’s the necessary fuel to get you out of the situation you’re in.

Everyone needs to find that fuel if they’re looking to better their lives.

We tell ourselves stories about why we’re in this situation and why our lives are so much harder than everyone else’s. Or, our situation is unique, which is why we haven’t taken action yet.

But you can always find someone out there whose circumstances were way worse than yours and who became more successful than you.

It’s not about beating yourself up about it, it’s about realizing it’s been done and those excuses that stand in your way are just excuses.

Take the first step, get it done!

Tool

Imagica

The barriers to entry get lower and lower.

Imagica, lets you create an AI no-code app with just a few prompts.

Throughout history, the moat to technological development has always been skills.

The money was made by being able to provide solutions to simple problems that few people could solve, simply because of their knowledge, not their ideas.

For example, web development used to be complex and developers could charge ridiculous amounts of money for a website.

Now we have no-code website builders that we can use ourselves.

The same goes for app development.

We’re reaching a singularity where machines and AI will assist us in making any product we can think of.

The differentiator is going to be our creativity.

It’s exciting, we won’t have excuses anymore. You can create that app, that song or that business.

Soon nothing will hold us back.

Reflection Time

This is an amazing episode.

Alex Hormozi loves to tweet about his life lessons and many of them are quite profound.

But because they’re tweets, a lot of the time we brush over them without reflecting on them.

Chris Williamson discusses 23 of them in this 3-hour episode.

I know it’s long, but it’s worth it.

I actually used one of the quotes from the episode in the reflection part of this newsletter today.

If you’ve got some time and are willing to have your worldview shattered, give it a listen, you won’t regret it.

Let me know what you think.

Concept

Communication

Communication is so important, particularly with employees. It’s all about building trust.

I came across a great acronym that’s easy to remember to help keep you in check when communicating and getting the best out of your employees.

The acronym is: BRAVING Trust

It stands for:

B - Boundaries
R - Reliability
A - Accountability
V - Vault (Trust)
I - Integrity
N - Non-Judgement
G - Generosity

I found I’ve struggled with communication, not only in a work environment, but in general too.

It’s something I’m constantly working on, and referring to this acronym can be very helpful.

We make assumptions and get emotional about circumstances that actually haven’t happened yet.

If we focus on communication and doing it clearly, we can get rid of a whole lot of problems.

Thanks for Reading

Now start something!
