Perspective
How to keep your employees
It takes a few things to stay in your job.
They're usually a combination of incentives, enjoyment, and purpose.
Everyone values each of these differently and has different tolerances for each of them.
Steven Bartlett was discussing this on his podcast and he listed 5 things people need to like their jobs.
As an employer, if you tick off all five, you should keep your employees for a while.
Here are the 5 things people need to like their jobs:
1 - A sense of forward motion
2 - A challenge - it can't be too easy or too difficult. You've got to find the sweet spot.
3 - Control and autonomy
4 - Subjective meaning
5- Supportive group of people
They're all straightforward, but equally important to keep your employees around.
Do you ensure each of these for your employees?
If they're leaving maybe you should change a few things.
Tool
I think this might be the best tool I've ever come across.
Hopefully, that first sentence caught your attention because it deserves it.
Clearer thinking is a website full of amazing tools to help you better understand yourself and what's holding you back.
I know that may seem vague, so let me give you some examples.
They have 70 free quizzes on their site, all to help you out.
If you're a first time visitor they have a “start here” section which helps you figure out what quiz to do first.
They cover topics like:
Understand yourself
Improve your mood
Accomplish your goals
Make better decisions
Recognise faulty logic
Understand the world
Build relationships and communication
They're all backed by research and are extremely valuable for future decision-making.
Check it out and let me know if you do a couple.

What Happened With OpenAI?
I'm sure we all heard about the OpenAI drama that happened last weekend.
It was tricky to follow and difficult to understand what exactly happened and why it even happened.
This video gives us a breakdown of what went down.
I'm amazed at the impact that Sam Altman has had on his employees. With so many willing to follow him out of OpenAI, I'd love to know his approach to team building.
I feel like what just occurred will go down as a historical moment.
Who knows, it might even become a movie.
Concept
The rule of the 7 touch points
Have you heard of Eight Sleep?
If you haven't then you're lucky, because for me, their advertising is everywhere I look.
And this is intentional.
Their founder and CEO, Matteo Franceschetti, has the rule of 7 touch points when it comes to marketing.
He believes that for new customers to even consider purchasing their product, they have to have come across it 7 times in different marketing channels.
I feel like I've heard about it a lot more than that and because of that, I'd say I'm a lot closer to making a purchase.
The only thing holding me back is the price point of $2k.
But taking this 7 touch point approach forces you to think out of the box.
How are they going to hear about our product from people they trust 7 different times?
If you can answer this question you can increase your revenue and test and iterate on ads to accurately target your ICP.
If you're not seeing traction maybe you're focusing on too few channels.
They need to believe you’re everywhere and everyone has one.
Then they'll consider it, especially if it's a huge ticket item.
Try it out.
